India beat Malaysia in Asia Cup final and have won the title.Malaysia put in its best to try and clinch an equaliser but the Indians held on to register a memorable 2-1 victory and with it, earn its fourth Asia Cup title.
India overcame Malaysia 2-1 in the final here on Sunday to win the Asia Cup hockey championship for the third time.
Ramandeep Singh (3rd minute) and Lalit Upadhyay (29th) scored for India. Shahril Saabah (50th minute) scored the reducer for Malaysia.
High on confidence following their impressive string of performances, an in-form India looked to maintain their unbeaten run when they took on arch-rivals Pakistan in their third and final Super 4 match of the 10th men's Asia Cup.
