Duration to transport cash to banks come down from 21 days to 6 days

New Delhi: In a major respite to people facing cash crunch, the government has managed to bring down the transportation time of cash starting from printing to the main distribution centres from the current 21 days to just 6 days. To speed up the work, the Government is leaving no stone unturned and using Indian Air Force planes, helicopters to transport the cash rapidly.

The government is upbeat and hoping that the prevailing situation is going to improve by next week. As the availability of cash improves in the urban areas, the government has decided to concentrate on the rural areas now.

Top sources in the government said, the level of economic activity should get back to normal by January 15.
