New Delhi, Jan 23: When Padmaavat’s first trailer released, the film faced massive protests, the release got delayed and death were threats issued against the director and film’s lead actor Deepika Padukone. Many states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, UP, and Haryana banned the film due to Karni Sena protest across the country and threatened to burn the cinema screens if the film is released. Filmmakers made a plea in the Supreme Court against this decision of the states. Since now Supreme Court has ordered to these states to screen the film. The legendary queen's Padmavati story is going to be in theatres on Jan 25. The movie is based on Maharawal Ratan Singh, Rani Padmavati, and Sultan Allauddin Khilji.
