Gujarat Manthan: BJP is getting more than 150 seats, says Amit Shah

New Delhi, Dec 2: A conclave on Gujarat Elections can never come to a logical conclusion unless BJP President Amit Shah speaks up his mind. The big 'manthan' or churning is incomplete without knowing his point of view on the Gujarat Assembly elections.  The 'Chanakya', as he is fondly called, turns tables with his wit, swift response and innuendos.

On the issue of Vikas he said, "Vikas has gone mad was said earlier by Rahul Gandhi only till the time he was had not visited the people of Gujarat. After meeting them he abandone this lin as he knew he will never be pardon by the people here for saying this. "

Religion and faith should never become an issue of discussion, but it becomes an issue of introspection when it is done with an ulterior motive, say Shah adding, "We have never questioned Rahul Gandhi on wearing janaiu. May be his mother has some issue. I have been a Hindu all along."

How do you save democracy if there is no Opposition, the BJP's winning spree indicates that there may be no Opposition in future.

Pat came the witty reply, "Saving the Opposition is Rahul Gandhi's problem, I'm concerned with the steady growth of BJP. I do my duty with dedication and honesty."

Shah faced the query on his son Jay Shah confidently and not even for a moment appeared perturbed.

"Jay Shah's company has a loss of 1.5 crore in this financial year and why can't a politician's son do honest business."

Shah spoke confidently and with elan about the winning spree of BJP. "Our victory in Uttar Pradesh will help us in Gujarat, that people trust us and are with us, is proven once again."

GDP is a Herculean effort and so many taxes have come under a single umbrella. The effort will yield results, and we are still working on it. Even Congress' six chief ministers and finance ministers have their consent on these changes in GST, said Shah on a question on Indian economy.

On Patidar issue his confession was candid, "The Patidar revolution have shaken us, no doubt, but we are not frightened. Congress had nefarious designs in Gujarat politics and has stired cheap caste politics."

On being tickled about BJP's poster boy Yogi Adityanath the BJP's Chanakya said, "Congress has no face but we have many faces in our party and Yogi Adityanat is a popular leader of a very big state. We are proud of him."

The EVM issue is obsolete and meaningless he said.

"We have been defeated on the same EVM machines in Bihar, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. The point is that the Congress and other parties

should learn to digest defeat, " he said.

On being addressed as BJP's Chanakya he said, "Please don't compare me with Chanakya, he is a tall personality, I'm nowhere near him. This will be a grave injustice to compare me with him."

Gujarat has emerged as a role model. Many new experiments were being one and when Narendra Modi became the CM Gujarat he helped Gujarat emerge as a model welfare state.

Getting emotional on Gujarat and the people of Gujarat he said, "The people of Gujarat have had their own share of sad stories and troubles, but the people of Gujarat have emerged victorious by dint of their hard work and honesty. Let them vote BJP back to power and we will tell them what real progress is. They will progress by leaps and bounds."

He said that they have no objections to Rahul becoming the Congress Party President. We are and will continue working against the Congress ideology.

I don't trust vindictive politics. It doesn't yield any results.

Gujarat is majorly seen as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home turf and elections here are a closely watched affair seen as a barometer of the PM’s popularity.

The elections in Gujarat have become furthermore interesting with the Patidars playing an important role in this time. What is adding to

the intense drama is the Congress lending out an olive branch to the PAAS and its pet cause. So though apparently it appears to be advantage Congress, but this can be true only to some extent. Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi are leaving no stone unturned and the verbal war is on a day-to-day basis.

Keeping all these points in mind your channel News24 organized a conclave in Ahmadabad on 2nd

Dec 2017; aptly named ‘Manthan Gujarat’.  News24 presented a package full of facts, drama and showdowns.
