New Delhi, Dec 2: Hardik Patel is the face which is seen as a game changer in the Gujarat Assembly Elections. He is the centrifugal force and is blowing like a whirlwind.
All equations, all calculations went for a toss and the party which ruled with pride found itself on the sticky ground for the first time in 22 years as this Tsunami called Hardik engulfed everything. Such has been the power of this 22-year-old Patidar leader, who is not even old enough to fight elections.
On News24 Conclave Gujarat Manthan this young Patidar leader spoke at length on many topics. "I got Rs 1200 crore bribe offer by a principal secretary in BJP govt. I kicked the offer, nobody can buy my morality."
Reacting to the question of his political agenda Hardik said, "I will be CM of common man. There should not be talk about Hindus, but about Hindustanis.I am fighting for the 6 crore Gujaratis."
Reliving his torturous experience the Patidar leader said, "One would not understand the condition of Gujarat by just having burgers in college. My 14 brothers were murdered by this BJP government. If BJP has guts, it should send me to jail again. Let BJP make CDs. Gujaratis are interested in CD of BJP's last 22 years, not in CD of a 22-yr old.
On being asked about the CM face of Gujarat he said, "There is no CM face yet in Gujarat." Tickling the youth inside Hardik News24 asked him who his favourite cricketer is and prompt came the response," Sachin Tendulkar is my favourite cricketer. I would have been playing cricket if conditions were normal. I am not interested in film heroines. I play strokes on front foot like Sachin Tendulkar."
Gujarat is majorly seen as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home turf and elections here are a closely watched affair seen as a barometer of the PM’s popularity.
The elections in Gujarat have become furthermore interesting with the Patidars playing an important role in this time. What is adding to
the intense drama is the Congress lending out an olive branch to the PAAS and its pet cause. So though apparently it appears to be advantage Congress, but this can be true only to some extent. Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi are leaving no stone unturned and the verbal war is on a day-to-day basis.
Keeping all these points in mind your channel News24 organized a conclave in Ahmadabad on 2nd Dec 2017; aptly named ‘Manthan Gujarat’. News24 presented a package full of facts, drama and showdowns.
