Video: Pakistan's first Sikh police officer manhandled, thrown out of his home
New Delhi, July 11, News24 Bureau: The woes and pain of the first Sikh police officer of Pakistan are indeed intriguing. Gulab Singh has shared his video where it can be seen how he is being mishandled and thrown out of his home along with his family.
Gulab Singh, is an inspector with Pakistan Punjab police. He said that few policemen entered his house and forcefully threw him and his family out of their house and later locked it from outside. A video went viral in which it could be easily seen that the Sikh is requesting the officials to let him stay in his house as he was living in it since 1947. But his request was unheard and he was forced to leave the house. And now Gulab Singh has shared his fresh video. In a fresh video, Pakistan’s first Sikh police officer Gulab Singh who was forcibly evicted from his house in Lahore's Dera Chahal, says 'Even in 1947 we Sikhs did not leave Pakistan but now we are being forced to do so'
Gulab Singh took to twitter handle once again to thank for all the support he got and for showing his showing his story to the world, "I thank ANI and everyone for their support, the ill-treatment being meted out to me is for the world to see. Even in 1947 we Sikhs did not leave Pakistan but now we are being forced to do so."
His plight is shocking and he tweeted this as well, "My house is sealed with all belongings including my slippers inside. Even this 'patka' on my head is an old rag which I just wrapped. I was harassed, beaten and my faith was disrespected."
