Watch: Rahul releases video of soldier’s crying son, says this is `Modiji’s India’
New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was released after being detained by the police while trying to enter the RML Hospital here on Wednesday to meet the family of an ex-soldier who committed suicide. Ramkishan Grewal, who was protesting for implementation of OROP, had committed suicide on Tuesday evening
Grewal’s son was detained at the hospital. After release, Rahul took to twitter to upload video of Grewal’s son, at the police station, who is seen crying in the video. “Modiji’s India:this is how families of our soldiers & our martyrs are being treated!”, Rahul tweeted.
Senior Congress leaders including Ajay Maken, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Raj Babbar also protested outside the Mandir Marg police station blocking the road.
Many Congress leaders were also detained and were taken to the police station. ( Agencies)
