New Delhi, Jan 13: Xiaomi India has come up with Adapter 9V 2A that supports Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0. Earlier to this, the company sold standard 5V-2A charger in India. The new charger can be purchased from company's website and price tagged at Rs 499 with 25% discount apart from this Xiaomi also has the Mi Car Charger on offer.

Smartphones compatible with company's Quick Charge 3.0 Technology are Xiaomi Mi Max, Xiaomi Mi Max 2, Xiaomi MIX 2,  Xiaomi Mi Note 2, Xiaomi Mi 5, Xiaomi Mi 5s, Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus and Xiaomi Mi 6. But the thing to note here is that only three smartphones from the list are available in India. The new adaptor launch has come after Xiaomi announced the Android 8.0 Oreo update for Mi A1.

The new charger also comes with surge protection up to 380V and Automatic Temperature Control. The company claims that the charger will no go beyond 30 degrees Celcius while in use to prevent overheating.
